The colorway is absolutely blinding in person—that bright crimson scales look insane under gym lights. Paired with the neon green laces, this shoe is a total masterpiece. Performance is exactly what you expect from a Kobe 6.

Incredible bite and elite court feel
I saved these for league night and they completely lived up to the hype. The squeak and traction on the court is elite, grabbing the hardwood instantly on hard cuts. The Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot feels incredibly responsive when pushing off. Plus, the crimson and green look iconic.

Flawless performance, just be ready for a very tight break-in
Ever since Anthony Davis played in the PE version, I wanted these, and having them in hand is incredible. The texture of the polyurethane snakeskin upper has an amazing 3D depth to it, and the black painted Swoosh perfectly breaks up the loud crimson base. The heel counter locks your ankle in so securely that there is zero internal slipping.

My only minor warning is the initial fit. The Kobe 6 silhouette is notoriously narrow and stiff right out of the box because of the supportive scale overlay. My feet felt a bit cramped during the first couple of pickup games, but by the third session, the upper completely molded to my foot shape. Wide-footers should definitely consider going up a half size, but once broken in, it is the best hoop shoe on the planet.

An absolute holy grail
The design contrast is unbelievable. The electric green logo on the tongue and the matching laces against the deep red upper makes this easily the most eye-catching shoe in my collection.

The absolute pinnacle of low-top basketball shoes
The lockdown and low-to-the-ground feel of the Protro 6 is unmatched. The Cushlon foam midsole provides just the right amount of impact protection without feeling overly plush or losing your court awareness. The traction pattern handles dusty courts surprisingly well too. The Reverse Grinch theme is executed flawlessly.
