You can't beat the black leather with the sharp white stripes. It’s the ultimate retro low-profile sneaker that literally goes with any pair of trousers or jeans I own.

Sleek and versatile, but quite flat
I love the edgy, clean look of the black Sambas—they stay looking clean much longer than the white ones. The gold lettering on the side is a great touch. Just a heads up that they are very flat with minimal arch support, so my feet get a little tired if I walk across Manhattan all day, but they are incredibly stylish for casual wear.

A timeless European streetwear staple that lasts forever
I’ve had my eye on the Core Black and White colorway for months and finally bought them. The contrast between the black leather, the grey suede overlay on the toe, and the classic dark gum sole is just perfect. They look incredibly sharp and give off a very effortless, classic look.

Out of the box, the leather can feel a bit stiff and the tongue is somewhat rigid against the ankle, but after about a week of regular wear, they completely softened up and molded to my feet. The traction on the rubber sole is excellent, even on slick city pavements. If you are looking for a durable, everyday sneaker that bridges the gap between casual and smart-casual, this is it. They look brilliant with loose-fitting linen trousers or relaxed denim.

Excellent quality and a beautifully minimalist profile
This shoe is the definition of classic indoor football style. The leather quality is impressive for the price, and the stitching around the three stripes is immaculate. They feel very lightweight and snug on the foot. I recommend going up a half size if you have slightly wider feet, as the silhouette is quite narrow.

The ultimate daily driver, once you break them in
Everyone always talks about the white Sambas, but the Core Black version is the real winner because it doesn’t scuff easily and looks a bit more elevated. The vintage aesthetic is unmatched. I wear them to casual dinners, running errands, and out with friends.

My only minor critique is the initial break-in period. The back of the heel is cut relatively high and rubbed a bit at first, so I had to wear slightly thicker crew socks for the first few days to avoid blisters. Now that they are broken in, the leather is incredibly supple and comfortable. They are super easy to wipe down and keep clean. Definitely a 4.5 out of 5 stars for timeless design and daily durability.
