I saw someone wearing these in Notting Hill and had to track them down. Animal print can sometimes look tacky, but the magic beige base on these keeps it so grounded. The texture of the calf hair is beautiful and they give an instant pop to a basic outfit.

Way softer and more comfortable than my Sambas
I finally bit the bullet and bought the leopard Spezials after debating for weeks. Compared to the Samba OG, the Spezial has a slightly thicker gum sole and way more built-in arch support, so they didn't hurt my feet at all on the first wear. The dark pine green 'Aurora Ivy' hits on the tongue logo and heel give it such a cool, unique color twist.

An absolute dream aesthetic, just treat the material immediately
adidas is completely ruling the terrace sneaker wave right now, and this leopard colorway is the crown jewel. Splicing the bold animal print with clean ivory leather 3-Stripes keeps it looking high-end rather than cartoonish. The low profile is sleek, and the gold-foil lettering on the side stands out nicely against the patterned background. They run completely true to size for me, wrapping the midfoot snugly.

My only critical piece of feedback is regarding the calf-hair upper. Unlike a standard suede shoe that you can easily brush out, the textured hair on these can trap dust and flatten if it gets soaked in a heavy downpour. Do yourself a favor and coat them heavily with a high-quality water and stain repellent before taking them out onto city asphalt. Still, a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars for visual execution.

The quality control on my pair is perfect. The alignment of the ivory stripes against the leopard spots is completely seamless, and they even packed an extra set of dark green laces in the box to swap out the look.

Stunning shoe, but wide-footers should size up
Visually, this shoe is a total ten out of ten because a leopard-print sneaker functions as a surprisingly versatile neutral with denim. Just keep in mind that the T-toe box area is cut quite flat and narrow across the front. If you have wider feet or hate your pinky toes feeling restricted, I'd highly recommend going up a half size from your usual shoe size.
